The image intensifier covers enclose and protect the II assembly and the camera — the side of the arm that receives the X-ray beam after it passes through the patient and converts it into a visible image. As a regularly handled part of the C-arm during positioning, these covers are susceptible to cracking, chipping, and impact damage in a busy clinical environment.
