What Is the Orthoscan FD Pulse 15x15 U-Arm “C” Assembly (915-0064)?

Product: Orthoscan FD Pulse U-Arm Assembly (15x15)

Part Number: 915-0064

The Orthoscan FD Pulse 15x15 U-Arm “C” Assembly (915-0064) is the C-arm structural assembly on the Orthoscan FD Pulse mini C-arm. The U-arm — also referred to as the C-arm or “C” carriage — is the U-shaped mechanical arm that holds the X-ray tube head on one end and the 15x15 flat panel detector on the other, maintaining the fixed geometric relationship between the X-ray source and detector required for accurate fluoroscopic imaging. The 15x15 designation refers to the flat panel detector's imaging area. The arm rotates orbitally to allow the clinician to change the imaging angle around the patient without repositioning the patient or the workstation column. The Orthoscan FD Pulse is Orthoscan's advanced pulsed fluoroscopy platform offering reduced radiation dose through pulsed X-ray output, and the U-arm assembly is sized and configured specifically for the FD Pulse's 15x15 flat panel detector. Replacement of the U-arm assembly is a major service procedure typically required when the arm has sustained physical damage, when the orbital rotation mechanism has failed or become excessively worn, or during major refurbishment. Compatible with the Orthoscan FD Pulse only. Call (800) 643-2998 with your serial number to confirm fit before ordering.

Compatible Systems

Part 915-0064 is the 15x15 U-arm assembly specific to the Orthoscan FD Pulse only. The Orthoscan FD-OR uses a different 15x12 U-arm assembly — see 915-0062. The Orthoscan FD, HD, UC, and MDI use different C-arm or carriage configurations. U-arm assemblies are detector-size and model-specific — do not substitute across models. Post-installation imaging geometry verification is required before returning the unit to clinical use. Call (800) 643-2998 with your serial number to confirm fit before ordering.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the U-arm “C” assembly and what does it do?+
The U-arm is the U-shaped structural arm that holds the X-ray tube head on one end and the flat panel detector on the other. It maintains the fixed geometric relationship between the X-ray source and detector required for accurate fluoroscopic imaging, and rotates orbitally to allow the clinician to change the imaging angle around the patient without repositioning the patient or workstation column.
What is the difference between the FD Pulse 15x15 U-arm and the FD-OR 15x12 U-arm?+
The FD Pulse U-arm (915-0064) is sized for the FD Pulse's 15x15 flat panel detector. The FD-OR U-arm (915-0062) is sized for the FD-OR's 15x12 flat panel detector. The two assemblies are built to different detector dimensions and source-to-detector distances and are not interchangeable. Always confirm your model and serial number before ordering.
Can Minicarm.com install this part for me?+
Yes. Our certified field service engineers are available nationwide for on-site installation and post-installation imaging geometry verification. Call (800) 643-2998 or visit minicarm.com/service to schedule.
What does sold on exchange mean?+
Exchange means you return your defective core unit when you receive the replacement. This helps keep refurbished parts available and costs reasonable. Our team will provide return instructions with your order.
How quickly can I get this part shipped?+
Same-day shipping is available on in-stock parts when ordered before 5PM EST. Due to the size of this assembly, freight shipping may apply. Call (800) 643-2998 to confirm availability and shipping options.
