The Hologic InSight FD Bottom Detector Cover (ASY-05490 / FAB-08158) is the lower enclosure panel of the flat panel detector housing on the Hologic InSight FD and InSight FD Flex mini C-arms. The bottom cover encloses and protects the underside of the flat detector assembly — the surface that faces the patient during imaging. As the lowest point of the C-arm head, the bottom cover is the first surface to contact the patient positioning area and is the most susceptible to cracking, chipping, and impact damage during clinical use. It is commonly replaced during cosmetic refurbishment, following physical damage, or when preparing a unit for resale or redeployment.
