The Orthoscan TAU Retractable Cord Reel (805-0075) is the internal retractable power cord assembly used in the Orthoscan TAU 1512, TAU 1515, and TAU 2020 Mini C-Arms. It allows the system's power cable to extend for use and retract cleanly when the unit is repositioned or stored, eliminating floor cable hazards during transport. Note that this unit includes a 3-foot ground wire. An updated version of this cord reel is also available — see 805-0081 (TAU 2.0). A failing cord reel typically presents as the cord not retracting properly, the reel mechanism jamming or binding, cord fraying at the reel exit point, or intermittent power loss when the cord is at certain extension lengths.
