The "II PWR Sup" designation refers to the Image Intensifier Power Supply — the UC and HD were image-intensifier-based systems, using a vacuum tube image intensifier rather than the flat-panel detectors found in later Orthoscan generations. This cable assembly carries the power input to that image intensifier power supply, and also integrates the mode switch connections for the 6-inch and 4-inch field-of-view selections. The 6" and 4" modes refer to the two magnification fields available on the II: the 6-inch standard field and the 4-inch electronically magnified field (equivalent to MagMode on later platforms). A failed or damaged cable can result in a completely non-functional image intensifier, loss of one or both magnification modes, or imaging failures that trace back to interrupted power to the II supply.
